OUR STORY

The Dove at Dargate, is a stunning Gastropub set in the heart of the Kent countryside, only 15 minutes by car from either Faversham, Canterbury or Whitstable. Since 2018, Head Chef William Shenow-Brady and Manager Sophie Webb, who worked together in partnership at one of Kent’s top fine dining restaurant, decided they wanted to give you a delightful dining experience at their own establishment.  The Dove offers an award winning menu of fresh seasonal and local produce that is presented to the highest of standards, partnered with our relaxed and friendly environment. Available at the bar will be a range of premium beers, ales and spirits and a selection of the finest English and international wines. There is plenty of parking for when you arrive, a beautiful garden with outdoor seating in the summer and a cosy log burning fire inside for the cold winter months. We look forward to greeting you soon with a warm welcome when you arrive.

Will heads the kitchen, creating everything fresh from scratch using homegrown and local produce. With frequently changing lunch and evening menus to tie in with seasonal produce, there are always innovative and exciting options to pick from the menu.

KEEP IT FRESH & LOCAL

Using all fresh and local produce on our seasonal menus is our passion, this allows us to provide the best flavour with top quality ingredients. We are lucky enough to be able to use a lot of fresh produce from our evergrowing allotment, which Will's mum Liz created from scratch.

Sophie heads our front of house team. From the moment you enter the door every customer is greeted with a friendly smile and is made to feel welcome. Our team is very friendly and efficient, with the customers needs always being our upmost priority.

WILL SHENOW-BRADY

HEAD CHEF / OWNER

From a young age, Will enjoyed cooking and baking for his family, which that passion, turned into a profession for over the past decade. After working in one of Kent’s best fine dining restaurants for 7 years, working alongside the Ritz-trained chef owner, he was appointment the position of Head Chef after their retirement. Will was determined to continue his love of fresh local produce, refined dishes and creative menus so decided the only way to deliver this to customers, was under his own restaurant in partnership with Sophie.

Each dish created and delivered to your table is taken with great pride when cooking so that your taste buds have an amazing experience with his award-winning food.

SOPHIE WEBB

FRONT OF HOUSE / OWNER

As front of house for almost a decade, Sophie developed her skills in delivering memorable dining experiences to customers, at one of Kent’s best fine dining restaurants. From this, she understands the importance of that when you first visit us, we want you to feel welcomed , that you can relax whilst dining with us and we will ensure your dietary requirements are met.

Through her passion and dedication towards this, she has developed and trained a friendly front of house team, who love delivering you an amazing service throughout your meal so that your excited about returning again in the future.
